I remember when I was getting married a couple of years ago, and thinking I want to look my best for my husband to be, but also for me!  Afterall, those wedding day pictures will be there for all to see for years to come.  How I wish I had employed the services of a personal trainer to help me lose a little bit of excess weight and tone up my muscles.  I would have had someone to give me the motivation and encouragement when I didn’t quite feel like training at the end of a hard days’ work.

Do you want to look your very best on the most important day of your life? 

Ladies & gents, I can help you with your weight management issues whether they be losing weight or putting on lean muscle mass.  Don’t worry, you lovely ladies won’t get big bulging muscles like your men folk, we don’t have the testosterone levels that they do, so we wont get big.

It’s not just your weight that I can help you with though, I can help you tone up your muscles so that you have a better definition of body shape, no need for big knickers to hold it all in on the day!  Don’t forget, at the end of the day, you’ll be getting out of your wedding outfits and whilst showing off your sexy underwear to your new spouse, your new sexy body will be on show also!

Does this all sound like hard work and even more cash to spend during an already expensive phase?

You don’t need to see a personal trainer several times a week, once a week is more than enough to begin with.  You can enhance this by training at home or at a gym twice a week.  Yes, that’s right, you can work out at home.

When I write you a bespoke program, it is written specifically to your needs, which could be a gym or home based program.  You don’t need to invest in huge amounts of money on flashy equipment; your house is full of furniture and equipment that you can use.

So what should you be aiming for?

If you are trying to lose weight, then unless you honestly have more than two stones to lose, then you should be aiming to lose no more than between 1 – 2 lbs a week.  The more you have to lose, then the more pounds you can afford to lose weekly.  If you lose your weight gradually, you are more likely to keep it off.  If you lose it too quickly, your skin will not shrink with you, and you’ll end up will folds of excess skin.  Now you need surgery to remove the unwanted skin, that really is a whole lot of money to spend, that you could use to have champagne instead of a sparkling wine for example on your wedding day.

 

Maybe you want to be able carry your beautiful bride over the threshold, or have the stamina for other things, like cutting the cake, and opening all those lovely wedding presents your family and friends have bought you.

I can help to get you fitter, stronger and healthier, no matter what your age, sex, and fitness level or medical condition.

Maybe it’s just a bit of nutritional advice you need, well I can help you here also.

No faddy diets, no starving your self or going on cabbage soup diets.  The nutritional advice I give is sound advice, with a sensible nutritious diet that anybody can follow for life, which even lets you eat the things you want to.  I still have the odd glass of vodka & coke, and have a curry now and again; I’m human just like you.  

 

You wont be able to do anything with me, “I’m too big, I have diabetes, or I suffer with asthma….”

Think again!  I specialise in treating “special medical conditions”, by this I mean people with diabetes, asthma, hypertension, pre and post pregnancy, to name but a few.

One of my greatest successes has been with a lady called Janet, who at 4’11” and 22 stones, was confined to a wheelchair, relied heavily on painkillers for arthritis in her knees, and on a high dosage of medication for her diabetes condition.  Now her wheelchair is in the garage rusty!  She has lost over 6 stones, is on reduced medication for the diabetes and no longer takes painkillers for her knees.  She’s proud to say that she can now jog part way round a football pitch.

Pamper Yourself, The Executive

This ½ day session lasts 3 hours and consists of a health check including weight, blood pressure, resting heart rate, any medical conditions you may have, and medication you are currently taking.  We will then discuss what your goals are e.g. improve fitness levels, weight loss, or improve muscle tone.  From this we will make small achievable targets to aim for in the short term, leading to your main goal.  A training program designed specifically for your needs will then be devised.

After the health check is complete, we will then do a warm up, main training session and a cool down.  The warm up would include either a fast walk or jog depending on your fitness level, or a cycle ride: followed by stretching exercises to prepare your muscles, body and mind for the main session exercises.  The main session would be specific to your requirements, e.g. weight loss, improve muscle tone, improve cardio vascular fitness; it depends on what you want to get out of the session.  It is very important to cool down after the training session, so we will go through a routine specific to what the main session contained.  This will include stretching the muscles used.

Nutritional, health & lifestyle advice is given throughout.  During all this you will be taught how to do the exercises and stretches safely and effectively for when you do them on your own after you have completed the time with me.

You will also receive a program tailor made to your specific needs.  Liquid refreshments will be provided throughout.

All of the above plus a well-deserved massage after the hard work you have put in.  Please allow approximately 1 hour extra for the massage.  The massage can be either a relaxing one to help eliminate the stresses of every day life, or a deeper “sports massage”.  Either way you deserve it!
